What What Should I Expect If I Go To A Synagogue For The Shabbat Services?

What should I expect if I go to a synagogue for the Shabbat services? - what

My school friend is Jewish Orthodox and invited me to dine with him next Sabbath evening, and also occur in the synagogue with his family when my mother is actually an orthodox rabbi. What is the Sabbath service, as always, what should I expect? In addition, I bring a gift when I come to dinner on Friday night or is it so important? What should I bring?

You have to bring anything. Just dress modestly. It is in Hebrew, so you probably do not understand much. And since it will sit around an Orthodox synagogue to serve on the side of women and men, in addition to the people.

The Shabbat service in an Orthodox synagogue is usually conducted in Hebrew. It begins with the reading and singing of psalms, prayers and other transitions. There should be a prayer book translation of prayers and someone will help you to follow if you're interested. You should know that men and women sit separately, and after the synagogue, the women's section will be covered. They should be free to ask questions or buzzing in relation to the tunes when you pick them up. In general, the rabbi has a short sermon Friday evening.

Note also that would be appropriate dress a skirt (longer than knee length or longer, depending on the degree of religiosity, ask your friend) and the sleeves are elbow. Try anything with a collar or low-cut use something very important.

As for bringing what, you have to bring something. If you want to bring a gift, some suggestions are as follows: A Merlot fruit basket fruit (whole or sliced), a bottle of wine, kiddush kosher wine (not sweet, but a regular orhow) the wine you, or you have a nice box of chocolate or tea (sure can make the kosher symbol.) Also note that if you buy products with chocolate and milk, are served by the family Lunch meat, no surprise, then, if you saved for another time.
